The SpinStar™ VNAplus Mix allows concentration of viral nucleic acids (both DNA and RNA) from up to 1 ml plasma or serum without the need for ultracentrifugation. The solution is designed to form complexes with the nucleic acids, which can be sedimented by centrifugation in a regular table top centrifuge to form a pellet. This pellet is then resuspended in standard volume of lysis buffer and nucleic acids are subsequently purified using the SpinStar™ Viral Nucleic Acid Kit, enabling efficient and ultra-sensitive viral nucleic acid extraction from starting volumes of up to 1 ml.
